We are happy to announce the premiere of the film&music
soirée Free Radicals
at the Biennale
di Venezia on October 10 at Teatro alle Tese, Arsenal. The project
realised in collaboration with Klangforum
Wien and Minotaurus
Film presents film and music in condensed form. The program will include
brief musical compositions and short films rarely heard or seen in standard
concert or cinema settings. By combining them, new rhythms, dramatic possibilities
and interactions between sound and image are made possible.
To hear with the eyes, to see with the ears: Possibly the most exciting
moments of the program will be those in which film and composition encounter
each other directly. For Free
Radicals, Klangforum Wien has commissioned three compositions to accompany
Man Ray's "Le retour à la raison" from composers Theo
Verbey, Misato Mochizuki and James Clarke.
A second crossover between seeing and hearing will take shape with two
films by filmmaker Bady
Minck developed for Free
Radicals. Here the creative process played out in reverse, the source
material was the music. The performers of both films are the composer
and conductor Beat Furrer and the musicians of Klangforum Wien. Being
and Nothingness (Das Sein und das Nichts) has been invited to more
than 20 international film festivals so far, Seems
To Be (Schein Sein) will be presented for the first time to an audience
at the Biennale in Venice.
The second Free Radicals
soirée takes places on November 1 in Vienna, at the opening night
of the Wien
Modern festival at Konzerthaus Wien.
Tickets for the second soirée in Vienna can be purchased on the
Wien Modern
website, informations on the program in Venice as well as on the availability
of tickets can be found on the website of the Biennale.

Dear All!
Six years after its formation, the film production company AMOUR FOU
is
undergoing structural changes. The two executive directors, Gabriele
Kranzelbinder and Alexander Dumreicher-Ivanceanu, are going separate ways
and will forthwith be working as producers in two separate companies.
This new alignment is taking place consensually and with the approval
of
all partners.
Gabriele Kranzelbinder carries on the previous Amour Fou Filmproduktion
GmbH as KGP – Kranzelbinder Gabriele Production GmbH. The KGP GmbH
has
its company headquarters in Wien 7, Seidengasse 15/3/19. Sole partner
and executive director is Gabriele Kranzelbinder. The new website is:
www.kgp.co.at
The new AMOUR FOU GmbH of partners Bady Minck and Alexander
Dumreicher-Ivanceanu takes on the label AMOUR FOU. Company headquarters
of the new AMOUR FOU Filmproduktion GmbH is the current address Vienna
7, Lindengasse 32; executive director is Alexander Dumreicher-Ivanceanu.
The website www.amourfou.at stays accessible.
The films of the company currently in production – especially “Loos
Ornamental” and “Kieslers Projektionen” by Heinz Emigholz,
“Yoon” by
Christian Frosch and “Schein Sein” by Bady Minck – will
be completed as
co-productions between KGP – Kranzelbinder Gabriele Production and
AMOUR FOU Filmproduktion.
Co-partners Virgil Widrich and Thomas Woschitz are retiring from the
company at their own request and will increasingly dedicate themselves
to their own artistic projects.
KGP GmbH acquires the shares of international film sales company Autlook
Film Sales, AMOUR FOU Filmproduktion GmbH acquires the shares of film
distribution company POOOL Filmverleih GmbH. The film rights catalogue
will be shared between KGP – Kranzelbinder Gabriele Production and
AMOUR FOU Filmproduktion.
Looking back, we are pleased with all the fine films we have produced

and productions of the next years.
