In einer Gesellschaft unter dem reformierten, geschichts- und zukunftslosen "echtZeit Kalender", in der alle gesichtslos sind, bricht bei einer Frau Panik aus, als sie eines Tages mit einem Gesicht aufwacht. Langsam findet sie mit der Hilfe der Spektralkinder mehr über die verlorengegangene Kraft und Geschichte des menschlichen Gesichtes heraus und macht sich auf die Suche nach seiner Zukunft.

Faceless wurde nach den Regeln des "Manifesto for CCTV Filmmakers" produziert. Das Manifest unter anderem, dass am Drehort keine zusätzlichen Kameras verwendet werden dürfen, da die omnipräsente Videoüberwachung (CCTV) ohnehin mitfilmt.
